Tait Trains (EMUs - Melbourne, Australia)
DomTrain on TpF2 has done the Sydney version of the "Red Rattlers" (unfortunately some bugs have it unplayable), but I was hoping for the Melbourne version of the Red Rattlers "Tait Trains" (AKA: Sliding Door Tait Trains) to be done.
A typical set would be 7 cars M-T-T-M-T-T-M, while there was also single Driving Trailers (M = Motor, T = Trailer)
Tait Train
Years in service: 1910* - 1984 (Steam hauled prior to suburban network electrification in 1919)
Power: 105 kW
Max Speed: 80 KM/h
3 car set
7 car set
Driving trailer
Bonus round! There were also four built "Parcel Vans" which were double-ended Tait Motors - mianly used for distributing mail, parcels and staff pay around the network!

Lol, I've tested this train. He made a great sound set and also the train, that's not bad!
What do you mean with "some bugs"? You could just try ask him btw, he is very polite. Even this kind of modification will come easier in his hands, as he already made the model. Just try asking

Hello. I've had a chat with Dom. He is trying to fix that "bug" problem on that train and he's just updated it on steam.
Just try it now to see if it keeps crashing. Go go

Hi,
Yes, I was the one in contact with him as "peterholdenradio" on Steam. Unfortunately, it's still crashing.
Prior to this latest crash (just a few minutes ago) I had been giving him/her all the error messages I was getting with the assertion failure.
Like others have reported, you can purchased that Sydney F-Set Red Rattler fine, but when you try to allocate it to a line, it crashes the game.

Yes he knows about that and he is trying fixing it.
Try deactivate and re activate the mod now, it has been updated

No luck.
Unsubscribed from the mod, then re-subscribed, set up a brand new "free game" built one shed, two one-track stations and a short line. Did line manager, then purchased the train. When I went to allocate to the line, it crashed straight away (like before)

This is way too strange. He tried everything.

Fingers crossed, but it seems modder Dadeng (IR Creatives) might have a crack at this in the coming months.
Meanwhile, he's been working on the Comeng EMUs (Melbourne suburban train) and after some public test runs today and tomorrow, it should be ready on the workshop by the weekend!
