UIC-X coaches are used, generally, for medium and long term travels. The first type of wagon was realized in 1963.
Those coaches are the finalization of an european project to get a standard type of wagon for all the countries.

They've been built in many series. In this set we've included first (type 64), fourth (type 70) and sixth (type 79) series.

These wagons were rebuilt from older German Bcüm wagons in 1996. DB operated them on night trains all over Europe until 2016, when it was taken out of service. After 2016, other rail carriers began to buy these cars. They reconstructed them and put them back into operation as couchette cars or as second-class seating cars.



FS UIC X Coaches base set must be installed for proper operation.
